So, its October already, a mere 83 days ‘til Christmas!

It also heralds the end of Young Drivers Weeks, (22nd Sept to 3rd Oct).  So, in-between delivering lessons around keeping safe online, I have also been delivering lessons around keeping safe on the roads. These lessons focus on the “Fatal 5”: 

Drivers who commit one of the fatal 5 are more likely to be involved in a fatal traffic collision than those who do not. The lessons encourage young people to discuss concerning driving practices with their grown-ups and peers, and how to keep safe when their friends (who can drive) display such behaviour behind the wheel. Let’s hope that by giving young people confidence to address these issues and deal with them, that this helps reduce the number of fatal collisions on our communities’ roads.
